Tino Mihi!!
And some good news
Kia ora e hoa,
I just want to send a huge thank you that supported my Rongoā Māori art print drop this past weekend. I didn’t sell out but the impact those that did grab some art will be highly impactful to my progress. I will now be able to grab a few packs of my art paper and maybe a few items for my market stall. I feel I have enough art now to give it a go, learn from what I experience and create more art for it as I build momentum.
I will be keeping you updated on when and where my first market will be. Oh, I’m super excited to get out there! Sitting in the studio for months on end is not it. I love to chat and meet people.
If you missed out, the shop is now closed. It is much simpler to keep my sales brain on for only a short amount of time so I can return to creator brain.
I am planning to release another set soon and I will keep you posted on what that is when I decide myself. There’s a couple of options.
Oh, and the good news!
I secured funding from Upper Hutt City Council to complete a mural here in Upper Hutt. This is welcome news and I am pumped to get on the walls again. Ill share the progress over the next few weeks.
And thanks again to all your support. We are slowly building something really special here. Im not just talking about me and being able to support myself. The whole kaupapa here is to normalise Te Ao Māori. We going to keep pushing Pūrākau, rongoā, mau rākau and more mātauranga Māori until we get into schools and reach ngā tamariki.
Lets go e te whānau.
Mā te wā.
Dan
